Project description:
The PostDoc will be responsible for performing experiments with a murine model to determine how perturbations affect the composition and function of the gut microbiome as well as the impact of these perturbations on host physiology and health. Perturbations to be explored may include acute or recurring intestinal inflammation, enteric infection, as well as diet shifts or other stress events. Ideally, the candidate is an ambitious scientist who has experience in laboratory animal experimentation as well as sequencing-based microbiome analysis. The PostDoc will work in a multidisciplinary team that includes environmental microbiologists, theoretical ecologists, immunologists, and neurobiologists.
