Project description:
The Technician will prepare samples of environmental and medical microbiomes for FISH, will carry out FISH experiments based on established protocols, and will acquire and analyze fluorescence images as a service for the projects of the cluster. The Technician will also support the Postdoc in the evaluation of newly developed imaging methods and will apply these techniques for routine analyses once they have been added to the standard methodological repertoire.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in molecular methods and microscopy. The ability to interact with multiple collaboration partners and an interest in adapting workflow steps to different kinds of samples are essential.
