Key Researchers
In the CoE Microplanet, we have assembled a highly interdisciplinary research team of 32 accomplished scientists from eight leading research institutions in Austria.
The CoE links microbiome researchers from CeMESS at the University of Vienna with researchers from the Center for Molecular Medicine (CeMM) and the Medical University of Vienna, spectroscopists, analytical chemists, and microfluidic experts from the Technical University of Vienna, medical microbiome researchers, atomic force microscopists, and gastroenterologists from the Medical University of Graz and the University of Linz, and with experts from the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT), as well as the Institute of Science and Technology, Austria (ISTA),
CoE Key Researchers have high complementarity in expertise, consisting of experts in environmental microbiome research, specialists in medically-relevant microbiome research, outstanding bioinformaticians, and leading researchers strengthening our CoE through their methodological expertise.
All CoE Key Researchers are internationally highly recognized scientists. They are dedicated to capacity-building through excellence in training early-career researchers and also take responsibility to apply scientific findings for the benefit of society.
Our vision is to break down the walls between environmental and medical microbiome research.
