The external communication activities of the CoE aim at promoting the visibility of the cluster as a research unit, at knowledge and societal transfer, and at generating opportunities for interaction and co-creation with science.

We focus our activities on four overarching dialogue groups:

• • science & academia
• • stakeholders in health, policy & regulation
• • educational providers
• • the public sphere

We developed individual goals and communication means for each of these dialogue groups, which we will reach with an adjusted mix of participatory and mediated formats.

Notably, a Microbiome Policy Advisory Board (MPAB) of up to 10 CoE members representing all major research areas will be the first contact point for national (and European) policymakers, governmental agencies, regulatory and professional bodies, NGOs, and similar entities. The MPAB will provide up-to-date, evidence-based, explicit, and implementable recommendations, advice or briefings on microbiome- and planetary health-related questions.
