The participants enjoyed a meeting full of enthusiasm and groundbreaking ideas in the beautiful Pielachtal scenery in Lower Austria.
This first CoE Annual Meeting brought together 81 participants from diverse backgrounds, including early-career researchers from around the world. The meeting showcased the breadth and depth of our research, with presentations from all 19 work packages and nine method facilities. These presentations were delivered in two formats: concise 5-minute flash talks introducing presenters and in-depth 20-minute presentations with discussion showcasing initial research findings.
The idyllic setting of the Pielachtal in Lower Austria provided the perfect backdrop for scientific exchange and social interaction. The serene environment, coupled with ample opportunities for informal discussions, fostered a collaborative and inspiring atmosphere.
On the first day, we embarked on a rejuvenating hike through the stunning autumnal woods. This outdoor adventure not only provided a welcome break from the conference room but also sparked new ideas and strengthened bonds among the participants.
The enthusiasm and dedication of the early career researchers who have joined the cluster from around the world were particularly inspiring. As the cluster enters its second year, we eagerly anticipate the groundbreaking research that lies ahead.
