This prize is awarded to Slovenian scientists abroad for their significant scientific research and development achievements. Science Ambassadors should foster cross-border partnerships and inspire future generations of scientists.
Originally from Ljubljana, Kristina obtained her PhD in Structural Biochemistry from the University of Ljubljana and has had a long career in structural biology in Europe (Italy, Germany, Austria, France). She has also held several leadership positions and was appointed Director of EMBL Grenoble in 2022.
The award will be presented to Kristina during an official ceremony in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 28 November 2024.
